Camunda is great as a BPMN engine. These cases usually need more than an engine.
If your process lives on invoices, contracts or case files, you need IDP and a repository. Camunda forces third-party integration; Dokuflex bundles it natively.
Camunda needs people writing workers, deploying Zeebe and maintaining UIs. Without that team, real cost explodes.
VERI*FACTU, time-tracking laws, biometric eIDAS and EU data residency out-of-the-box. In Camunda these are bespoke projects.
If your SaaS platform needs a BPMN engine as an internal piece, Camunda 8 is built for that. Dokuflex is not sold as an engine.
Hundreds of microservices, millions of tokens/day, event-driven scenarios. Zeebe is built for that scale.
If your organization mandates auditable open-source for the process engine, Camunda Platform 7 or Zeebe allow it. Dokuflex is proprietary SaaS.
If you require 100% BPMN 2.0 with all markers, Camunda covers it more strictly. Dokuflex uses simplified BPMN for business users.
Camunda 8 includes Web Modeler and Forms, but the actual flow is still developer-first: Java/Node workers, connectors and Zeebe deployment. Dokuflex is low-code for business users.
Camunda has positioned Agentic Orchestration with MCP, A2A and HITL at the architectural level. Dokuflex applies AI to concrete cases: document classification, extraction, design assistant and decision agents with traceability.
Yes. We audit the existing BPMN model and map it functionally to the Dokuflex editor. Most business processes port keeping logic, rules and SLAs.
Dokuflex includes GDPR, eIDAS biometric, EU data residency and Spain-specific compliance such as VERI*FACTU. Camunda Cloud has EU regions but sector compliance requires development or partners.
